Cirencester Ramblers

July 4th North Cerney

On Wednesday 4th July, eleven members took part in a 4½ mile walk from North Cerney. The light rain at the start soon gave way to a lovely mild summer's evening as we made our way out of North Cerney and across fields on a permissive path not shown on OS maps. We reached the Monarch's Way where it passes through Conigree Wood and headed North to Green Meadow Farm.

From the farm we started our way back along Greenmeadow valley, crossing a small stream before reaching Rendcomb. We continued along the top of the valley before descending to the River Churn and picking up the Monarch's Way again back to North Cerney and a drink in the Bathurst Arms.
