Cirencester Ramblers

June 6th Fairford

On a beautiful evening 18 Ramblers and 1 guest started their walk close to Fairford’s Church of St Mary and walked past Farmors School to reach the wartime site of the Polish camp.

Crossing fields down to the River Coln and the cascades, we finally arrived at the Ox Pens and Fairford Mill.

We then skirted the opposite side of town to arrive at Horcott Lake, where we were treated to a beautiful sunset as we walked around the lake. Crossing the River Coln once more via Dilly’s Bridge we returned to the Market Place and a well earned drink.

We start the walk from near St Mary's Church
