On the hottest early May Bank Holiday since records began, 28 members started from Lechlade cricket ground and proceeded to St John’s Lock to follow the River Thames to Buscot Lock. A coffee break was taken at the Lock watching the lock keeper kept busy with the number of boats on the river.
After lunch they continued beside the river to reach Kelmscott Manor and walked through the pretty village of Kelmscott, beore returning across fields to Lechlade.
