The rain stopped and the sun came out, but unfortunately not in time to dry conditions underfoot.
Fifteen members braved the mud and the puddles to splash their way around this otherwise enjoyable 4 mile walk. They followed the River Windrush to a pair of lakes before turning away from the water to start a steady climb to Clapton on the Hill, spotting partridge, deer and a hare on the way.
After a brief stop they headed back towards Bourton on the Water through more mud and were fortunate enough to spot a barn owl hunting for his supper.
