Cirencester Ramblers

April 29th Chedworth

On Sunday 29th April 18 members did a 5.5 mile walk from Chedworth Airfield.

It was a very cold and cloudy start and we had to find another route to get to the church, as the original track was deep in slurry. The one we found was very scenic and a good route for future use.

Coffee stop was taken at the Church, then we went down the small path to come out along side the Severn Tuns Pub, then right up from the pub, and turning left we made our way through the delightful village of Lower Chedworth.

We then walked up Pan Cake Hill and turned left half way up, passing more cottages, to take in the beautiful view looking back over Lower Chedworth. Once at the top we turned left again onto a track now quite high, then back to the Airfield and our cars.
