Cirencester Ramblers

August 24th Coates

On Thursday 24th August five members set off on a 4 mile walk from the Tunnel House Inn. They followed the Monarch's Way along the disused Thames and Severn Canal to Trewsbury House then continued until they nearly reached Field Barn. Leaving the Monarch's Way they walked past the now disused Milking Parlour and Bledisloe then through the village of Coates. Leaving Coates the group stopped to look around the local church with its attractive stained glass windows before making their way over the railway line and back to the Tunnel House Inn where they all enjoyed a lovely lunch.
