Cirencester Ramblers

Mon 29th May Winchcombe

On a damp and misty Bank Holiday Monday 29th May, 13 members including the Area Vice Chair, Bern Gill,  set off from Winchcombe for an eight mile walk. They walked down Cowl Lane to the main road and passing the church of St Peter they headed towards the football ground. Using a new gate and bridge they reached Postlip Mill and continued along the Cotswold Way.

After a coffee break the route took them through the woods by the Breakheart Plantation and a steep climb up to Belas Knapp. Continuing down the hill to Humblebee Cottages they reached the extensive grounds of Sudeley Castle to cross the road again to the car park.
